Whimsical Engagement Session
Will and Bianca were actually one of my favorite couples I spoke with at a Bridal show I did in the early spring! They are two of the sweetest souls and I absolutely love how in love they are with one another! They met on a video game and will be tying the knot so soon (and I get the absolute honor of capturing their wedding day!). When they were talking to me, they told me about their venue.... and I have been wanting to shoot at this location for awhile! So when Bianca emailed me with a date for their venue and asked if I was still available was beyond thrilled! They are such beautiful, unique people and the venue is quite gorgeously unique as well! When we talked about an engagement session (as it was part of their package) we were originally going to do a large grass field and then the idea of Mellon Park shot into my head, out of nowhere really, because I have never even been there! I really think it fit perfectly for them as a couple and their vision. We planned for a golden hour session in April!
Unfortunately, Pennsylvania weather was not on our side! The clouds came over just in time for the golden hour session to be missed! Finding the park was interesting, since this was my first time being there! I was parked across the street in a playground parking lot and asked probably 14 people if they knew of the walled garden, finally, I came across another photographer who pointed me in the right direction. I was hopeful for some pretty vegetation. We missed golden hour, we shot into blue hour and the garden was basically bare. It was pretty drab, besides some daffodils and a blossoming tree, but to be honest, the pictures turned out STUNNING anyway! And the couple absolutely crushed their session. These are some of my most favorite engagement photos to date!
